Hettie's Story
Here you will find a wonderful range of the very, very best teas and infusions, all with a good helping of personality and quirkiness!
Hi, I'm Clare
My love of tea began when I was looking to open Hettie’s just after the last recession in 2009.
Inspired to make people happy following the difficult times we have just gone through, I wanted our customers to feel their time at Hettie’s was an experience… After all, Pitlochry was not short of places to eat and drink. For me, Hettie’s had to be more than that, so I set about creating an ‘experience’.
In 2010, I opened Hettie’s and in the last 10 years, we have welcomed almost ¾ of a million visitors from all over the world through our doors. We have sent our teas to 16 different countries, to every continent, and to 38 states of the USA.
I have single-handedly brought up my amazing daughter Hettie, (now you know where the name came from) who is now a gorgeous, smart, inspirational 16-year-old. We live in Pitlochry with our 2 labradors, Rosie and Rascal.
Our Resident Artist
Meet Daughter Of The Stag, our resident artist - also known as Bev Nicol.
We met her years ago and fell in love with her work, and so we gave her free hand on the walls of the tearoom.
When you come and visit, you'll find a lot of her work around the tearoom - either in prints available for purchase, or the beautiful murals that bring so much vibrance to our tearoom!
Drop us a message and we'll get back to you as quick as saying "tea"!
Located in Pitlochry, considered the Heart of Scotland, Hettie's tearoom is a must-try Scottish Experience
We have a no tea bag policy here at Hettie's. All our signature teas are hand blended Scotland.
Whether you're from the area or visiting Scotland for the first time, make sure you pay us a visit!
