Indian Assam Black Tea
Assam tea is a black tea named after the region of origin, Assam, in India. Assam loose tea is blended specifically from the plant Camellia sinensis var. assamica.This tea, which is mostly grown near sea level, is known for its body, briskness, malty flavour, and strong, bright colour. Assam teas, or tea blends containing Assam, are often sold as breakfast teas like our Perthshire Tea.
